S-Card v1.02, SmartMoto v2.03 & Smart-Clip v3.02
New versions of S-Card v1.02, SmartMoto v2.03 & Smart-Clip v3.02.

With this release we announce a new step in unlocking, flashing and repairing technologies.
From now on, all procedures for majority of the latest models can be performed

without disassembling and making a TestPoint connection.

The following models can be served avoiding a TestPoint connection:

Please, be aware of the new unlock procedure:

1. Connect the handset to PC via Smart-Clip (phone > USB cable > Smart-Clip > LPT cable > PC).

2. Connect S-Card to PC USB port.
3. Connect power supply to Smart-Clip and power on the handset.
4. Launch SmartMoto.
5. Choose "Smart-Clip USB port" in phone connection window.
6. Press "Search". The software should perform the following steps:

• SmartMoto detects S-Card;
• SmartMoto detects Smart-Clip;
• SmartMoto detects the handset and reads all phone information.

7. Log to bookmark "Prepare".

8. Select the appropriate model from SmartMoto list. Make sure that phone model and boot version of the phone to be unlocked exactly match the model and boot version stated in the list.

9. For unlock purposes, please make sure that “Unlock automatically” option is mark.
10. Press “Prepare” button.
11. Part of phone firmware gets reflashed. At this time popup window appears at SmartMoto interface. Please follow the instructions provided therein:

• Disconnect cable from the phone;
• Remove and insert phone’s battery;
• Press "Power on" key on the phone;
• Connect cable to the phone.

12. The handset should restart in boot mode.
13. If the option “Unlock automatically” was marked – the handset becomes unlocked. If the option was not selected then:

• The phone can be unlocked by logging to the bookmark “Unlock”, selecting the appropriate model and simply pressing “Unlock via TestPoint”;
• The phone can be repaired by logging to the bookmark “Repair”, selecting an appropriate model and pressing “Repair PDS”;
• The phone can be flashed by logging to the bookmark flash and performing a “Flash” procedure.

14. Log to bookmark “Flash”.
15. The phone has to be flashed with an appropriate firmware.
16. After flash is completed, disconnect the handset.

In this release.

1. First in the world!
   C975 model, firmware version 91i, is supported for unlock (unlock patch).
2. Model C975 boot version 6.36 is added to “Non-TestPoint unlock procedure”.
3. “Non-TestPoint unlock procedure” modified and simplified. No need to flash the handset at the end of the process. User data will remain in the phone.

SmartMoto v2.09
We are pleased to introduce a new version of SmartMoto v2.09.

With this release launched “IMEI repair” function for the following models with specified boot versions:

No TestPoint is required. Just perform the next steps:
Connect powered handset
Perform a PREPARE cycle
Log to IMEI repair section
Press “IMEI repair fw patch”
Enter IMEI to be restored
Press “Restore IMEI”
In case of need restoring IMEI again the Firmware Patch is not required. Just perform PREPARE cycle and restore the number. Please be aware that Internet connection is required during this procedure.

We recommend to use only the latest versions of Smart-Clip, S-Card and SmartMoto.

Smart-Clip Update News
Smart-Clip v3.06, S-Card v1.06 and SmartMoto v2.10

With this release the following models are added to the list of supported:

• V3 with boot version 8.28 (unlock via prepare cycle);
• L6/L7 i-mode models (unlock via code calculation (tab I-mode)). No Smart-Clip needed, S-Card dongle is required only.

i-Mode unlock instruction
L6/L7 i-mode models have a specific hardware, so it requires different drivers to be installed.

WARNING
i-Mode drivers are not compatible with Win9X/ME. Win 2K/XP is required.

1. Connect powered handset to PC USB port.
2. Locate the drivers at SmartMoto installed directory (__:\Program Files\GsmServer\SmartMoto\iMode drivers). The modem port will be installed to the system.
3. Connect S-Card dongle. Launch SmartMoto v2.10. Be aware that Smart-Clip is not required for unlock of L6/L7 i-mode models.
4. DO NOT PRESS “SEARCH” BUTTON. Log straight to the bookmark “I-MODE”.
5. Select the phone corresponding COM port (usually is the highest port number).
6. Press “Read Code” button. The handset goes into “test mode”.
7. The software gets several codes from the handset. Status (LOCKED/UNLOCKED) of each code will be displayed. Codes with status “LOCKED” should be entered to the phones submenu to perform the unlock process.
8. The handset automatically powers ON.
9. Disconnect the cable. Press and hold “*” (asterisk) button on the keypad.
10. While holding the “*” (asterisk) key type the required pass to enter the submenu.
11. The unlock request appears on the phones screen. Press OK.
12. Enter the unlock code provided by SmartMoto and press MENU button.
13. The procedure, starting from step 9, has to be performed for each code with status “LOCKED”
14. Unlock done.

Dear users,
We are pleased to introduce new versions of Smart-Clip v3.07, S-Card v1.07 and SmartMoto v2.11.

This release contains the following options:

• L6/L7 i-mode fw version 13 (and higher) added to the range of supported;
• Improved compatibility for i-mode modem COM port settings.

From now on, i-mode modem can be set to any available COM port up number 99. In order to find out which exactly port the i-mode modem is set to or to change the port settings, please perform the following: right click on My_Computer>>Properties>>Hardware>>Device_Manager> >i-mode_modem>>Properties…


Warning
In case if i-mode modem is set to COM port 100 or higher, the handset will not get detected by SmartMoto.
